Fit{less} Update

Because I promised to keep it real, here’s a fitness update. Not that I have anything to update you on.

It’s been a long time since I hit the Y. I’ve lost count of the weeks, but I know it’s been at least three weeks, and before that it wasn’t consistent. I have a hard time getting to the gym, because I don’t drive. Add in another excuse or two, and you have a fit{less} week.

I haven’t worked out.
I haven’t weighed in.
I have pigged out.
I haven’t given up.

Husband and I made it back today. I did cardio until I was certain my legs wouldn’t hold me. I lifted weights until my arms shook. It’s the best I’ve felt in a while!

We took full advantage of the Kid Zone and played some pool, and I’m pecking this entry out on my phone while still here. I’d love to swim, but I have this weird quirk about doing things alone for the first time, and I couldn’t get my girls to come with us. (Yes, I’m scared to visit the locker room alone. Nope, I’ve never stepped inside.)

So what do we do? Anything. Something. So long as we just don’t sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we’ve satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late. – Lee Iacocca

Today, I did something. Again.
